Fellowship Project & Instructional Interests

Twice a week, I teach pathophysiology/pharmacology, parts I and II, face-to-face with 80–90 aspiring nurses.  The courses are comprised of selected disease processes, medication management, and the nurse’s role in communicating with other healthcare providers and clients while maintaining patient safety.  My innovation challenge is to transition my courses from passive to active learning.  My goal is to build a student centered learning environment that engages the students in the content and builds teamwork.  It is the healthcare team that provides patient care!
