During the 2016-2017 year, I plan to incorporate innovative techniques that will allow me to develop more non-traditional final exams and assessments that will provide an opportunity for students to reflect on and process what they have learned and participate in a more interactive process. One tool that I am considering is Post-it®, which will be useful in helping students 1) formulate and answer questions about the course content and goals and 2) put major pieces of the course together (and arrange and re-arrange that information) in a way that creates for them meaningful overviews.
