Fellowship Project & Instructional Interests

I have a number of years of experience working on biology education research. I major goal in modern biology education is not only to deliver an instruction that fosters students’ participation but also that provides opportunities for learning and practicing real scientific skills.   Now that I am back into the classroom, I have found challenging to implement this prescribed instruction in my classes. This challenge is a combination of limited prep time and large enrollment classes. My interest for the Innovate@ Symposium is to learn more about technology that can help me implement scientific practices in my classroom despite these challenges. I want to spend most of the time of my classes applying concepts through problem solving rather than lecturing, so my students will be better equipped to succeed in their careers.
